SUSANNE GRINDER

Susanne Grinder trained at The Royal Danish Ballet School. She Joined the Royal Danish Ballet in 1998, became a corps de ballet member in 2000, soloist in 2005, and Principal Dancer in 2010 after debuting as Odette/Odile in Swan Lake.
Other than Odette/Odile, her Principal roles include Aurora (The Sleeping Beauty), Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), and key Bournonville roles such as Sylphide (La Sylphide) and Teresina (Napoli). Other roles include Giselle, Nikiya (La Bayadère), The Little Mermaid, Sugar Plum Fairy, and many others.
She performed across Europe, the US, and Japan, including notable performances at the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and in Tokyo. Choreographers such as Johan Kobborg, Sidi Larbi and Jacopo Godani have created works for her.
Susanne received several grants and awards, including the Reumert Talent Award (2006) and the Bournonville Grant. She also holds upper-secondary degrees in Danish literature, philosophy, social sciences, and visual arts
